Thanks to everybody who made the trip to UCD on Sunday for the RetCon Infinity tournament.
With 18 players we're the biggest Infinity tournament yet in the British Isles. I've not heard of a bigger tournament elsewhere but surely there must have been one.
Good fun, good competition, good terrain and played in a nice spirit.
Couldn't have gone better, thanks to everybody who contributed terrain, time or turning up.
Heya.
The hand-book for the RetCon Infinity Tournament has been released.
It's at http://www.gregfarrell.org/infinity/RetConHandout.pdf
It contains the three scenarios, scoring methods, terrain rules etc.
As you can see from the Scenarios everybody is going to want:
1 hostage model
1 VIP model (this can be the same as the hostage if you like)
1 guard model (2 guards needed for the scenario, but each player will hopefully have one).

With three minor changes:
The inaugural tournament of the 2012 Infinity Cup takes place in Belfast on the 25th of February.
It's 300 points, 6 SWC of general fun-ness :) With Scenarios as created by Myk.
It'll take place in 'The Union' in front of Queen's University, Belfast.
Entry fee is £3.
Full rule-pack is available here - http://www.dragonslayers.org.uk/images/files/infinity%20cup%20rules.pdf
Here is one of the scenarios for the upcoming Infinity Tournament (http://infinity-ireland.org/node/15)
Scenario is by Myk, who I'm sure will run another excellent tournament. This should tempt you to go along!
Ransom
The Dark Hand Gang has kidnapped the son of the famous director of Pear Company, and now demands a ransom. The Company promises a valuable reward for whoever can bring back the kid, or provide information leading to the kidnapper's capture.
Paradiso is the planet of constant conflict - the main theatre of the NeoColonial Wars and bridgehead of the alien offensive.
Paradiso is a fertile planet, and according to terrestrial parameters, lush to excess.
The discovery of ancient vestiges of human and alien presence in the NiedmansZone in Paradiso might be the spark that will feed the flames of war again...

Excellent suggestions from Corvus Belli on how to start the various factions, with suggested ways to build on the starter boxes up to full size 300 point games. 65 to 100 euro depending on faction. Not bad!
